Pay Details

  • $27.35 per hour
  • $1.35 per hour afternoon shift differential
  • $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential

Schedule

  • 10 hours per day (80 hours in 2 weeks),
  • Must be available for AM or PM shifts
  • Days and/or nights, including weekends and holidays.

Job Details

  • Loading /and or Unloading rail cars in a transload environment.
  • Receiving product.
  • Secure product in rail cars with hammer and nails.
  • Operator/Forklift Experience preferred.
  • Mechanical Experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in all weather types safely.
  • Railcar movements (both as Track mobile operator and conductor).
    Weigh scale operator (scaling in trucks in and out of facility).
  • Loading railcars with front end loader.
  • Work safely, using proper and supplied PPE.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Must be capable of working in all weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of shop safety, shop work practices, mechanical systems, and use of hand and power tools.
  • Strong communication - clear and concise skills when using the radio to communicate.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
  • Operation of hand tools and air tools.
  • Team player with positive work ethic, attitude & job performance.
  • May work above shoulder level with power and /or hand tools weighing 40lbs pounds or less.
  • Must meet physical requirements of the position and have mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties performed -( CROR cleared medical required ).
  • May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items weighing 40 lbs or less.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Previous industrial experience preferred.
  • Previous experience operating machinery as an asset.
  • Must provide supervisory references upon request.
